چکیده
This study examines the evaporation of Al from a molten commercial Ti alloy with different concentrations after partial melting in small electron beam furnace. Electron probe micro analysis confirmed that concentration region was uniform. The movement not found to be rate determining step. consistently decreased an increasing time but non-linear manner. activity calculated using thermodynamic data, which indicated it increased ingot. However, did increase linearly under influence other alloying elements. overall mass transfer coefficient during initial depending on Al. An model constructed by considering mutual interaction between and able predict amount multi-component melt.

Mechanical and Tribological Behavior of Aluminum Alloy LM13 Reinforced with Titanium Dioxide Metal Matrix Composites
In the present research work physical, mechanical and tribological behavior of Aluminum (Al) alloy LM13 reinforced with Nano-sized Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) particulates were fabricated, mechanical and tribological properties were investigated. The amount of nano TiO2 particulates in the composite was added from 0.5% to 2% in 0.5 weight percent (wt %) increments. The Al-LM13-TiO2 Metal Matrix Com...
متن کاملProcessing and Properties of ZrO2-Containing Reaction-Bonded Aluminum Oxide with High Initial Aluminum Contents
The reaction-bonded aluminum oxide (RBAO) process relies upon the oxidation of Al/Al2O3 powder compacts, and many of its associated advantages stem from the presence of the aluminum in the green powder. Higher aluminum contents in the starting powders allow for higher green strengths, densities, and lower overall shrinkage, all while producing a fine-grained, high-strength sintered material. Ho...
متن کاملCrack Behavior of the Aluminum Alloy 2024 Under Fretting Conditions
The initial stage of fretting fatigue crack growth is significantly influenced by tangential force induced by fretting action along the contact surface where a mixed-mode crack growth is involved. Fretting crack behavior of aluminum alloy 2024 was studied, taking into account the problem of contact asperities. Finite element was used for the determination of the stress field near the contact su...
متن کاملRheological behavior of a commercial AA5182 aluminum alloy during solidification
During casting of aluminum alloys, the partially solidified material is submitted to thermally induced strains that can lead to severe casting defects, such as hot tearing. In this work, carried out in the frame of the European project VIR[CAST], the rheological behavior of a partially solidified AA5182 aluminum alloy has been investigated in order to provide constitutive equations to predict h...
متن کاملCreep Aging Behavior Characterization of 2219 Aluminum Alloy
In order to characterize the creep behaviors of 2219 aluminum alloy at different temperatures and stress levels, a RWS-50 Electronic Creep Testing Machine (Zhuhai SUST Electrical Equipment Company, Zhuhai, China) was used for creep experiment at temperatures of 353~458 k and experimental stresses of 130~170 MPa. It was discovered that this alloy displayed classical creep curve characteristics i...
